Anne Bowen Bridal Colletion

Designer Anne Bowen premiered her bridal collection during New York’s illustrious Bridal Fashion Week at The Plaza Hotel. Known for her stylized evening wear, Anne was thrilled to introduce her distinguished, red carpet design philosophy to the bridal market.

Architectural fused with simplicity, fresh and non-traditional, the gowns stay true to the Anne Bowen aesthetic. The collection offers a no-frills drama, atypical of bridal designs to-date. Luxurious textures of silk taffeta, tulle and organza have been hand-sewn into beautifully structured pieces. Elegantly embellished with Swarovski crystals – both large and small – in a modern drama best defined by clean lines, detachable trains, and shortened hemlines.

A non-traditional collection calls for a non-traditional runway show. I wanted my guests to leave feeling as though they’ve experienced a full sensory magic instead of the typical sight and sound experience at most shows. My show reflected the unforgettable nature of a wedding day,” says Anne

Anne achieved this with the help of Clive Christian of The Most Expensive Fragrance to innovatively “scent” the high ceilings of this historic venue. Hair and make-up for the show were done by the famous Warren-Tricomi. They applied a metallic shimmer to the eyes and complimented the gowns with smooth sleek hair. The couture shoes were provided by celebrity designer, Vanessa Noel.

For the flowers, Anne collaborated with Next Level Floral Design Inc. and chose bouquets in her favorite deep plum Schwarzenegger lilies and purple-king vramda orchids, which are one of the rarest orchids in the world.

My pieces offer a simple, yet creative interpretation of the purity, elegance and individuality brides seek in ‘the dress,” says Anne
